Craving fries? This is a much a healthier version that’s super fast and easy. I used a bag of pre-cut and peeled sweet potatoes from Trader Joe’s for this which made it so quick, but you can use whole ones and prep them yourself. If you didn’t already know this, sweet potatoes are rich in Vitamins A and C. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 bag Trader Joe’s peeled and cut-up sweet potatoes
- nutritional yeast flakes
- vegan bacon-flavored salt
- olive oil cooking spray
- Spread potato on a microwave safe plate.
- Spray with olive oil spray.
- Sprinkle with nutritional yeast and bacon-flavored salt.
- Microwave for about 5 to 8 minutes.
- Serve with BBQ sauce.
Your microwaving time may vary so please check potatoes during cook time.

makes my mouth water…never heard of bacon-flavored salt, but i can see it’s usefulness!
Sounds good. but for those of us who won’t drive all the way to Trader Joe’s, how many potatoes should we use?
Use 1 or 2 small or 12 oz if you have a food scale. You can make as many as you want really. Just test every now and then to see if they’re done.
I love that you put weight watchers points plus values. One of my main problems with weight watchers is that I find myself eating more processed foods and things I wouldn’t normally eat when I’m on the diet and I don’t like that there aren’t many vegan recipes on the site. This is awesome!
